Hello from Maybelle Farm,
It is Monday Dec. 6th, 2010 and yesterday was my birthday. Darcy invited my son David and his children Austin and Ella up to her house Saturday night for my birthday dinner. Jonathan got home from work in time to join us and so there were Darcy, Rowan, Declan, David, Austin, Ella, Jonathan, Kara (Darcy's golden Retriever) and myself for a wonderful birthday dinner. I put a pork roast in the crockpot Saturday morning so we had pulled pork for supper with sweet potatoes,baked asparagus and a loaf of lovely bread. Darcy made a scrumpdilicious chocolate cake and decorated it with little Christmas trees and Christmas balls......I'm attaching a picture with my grandchildren as they all helped YaYa blow out the candles!
Yesterday for my birthday I got to take Declan and Rowan to our local Christmas Bazaar and have a really nice picture taken with Santa Claus. Next Rowan and Declan went with me down to Bev's (my sister) and they played and we had a super yummy lunch( homemade Reuben's) by Carleen. Rowan had Tomato soup with Ritz crackers and Declan had grilled cheese. Declan came home with me and Rowan got to stay and do Christmas baking with Carleen and Olivia. They made cinnamon twists and decorated them with green frosting!
Darcy and Todd worked like mad furry all day getting things put away for winter and then they helped me by worming and trimming hooves on Luther (big old moorit ram) and his three wether buddies. We then put Tinka in with Luther and oh my, she was not impressed! We also moved Thistle and his girls to their new little manger that Everett and Mark built for them. I'm adding a picture of them too. Well I had a absolutely delightful birthday and everything is great here at the farm. I've got to sign off and go work with my brother Everett here moving a lot of scrap metal onto his truck and cleaning up by the shed.
