Wardsboro cancelled school on Tuesday and Londonderry (Flood Brook School) cancelled on Wednesday. Declan built a french "Duck Dynasty" snowman with a long brown beard. Rowan helped me put up Christmas light along the top of our fence. It looks so pretty at night-time with all the puffy snow. The sheep don't seem to be bothered by the snow and everyone is doing well. I had to take the time this morning to write about the sheep. I so enjoy chore time. There is something so peaceful and relaxing to sit on the bottom step in the barn and listen to the sheep munching on the hay. It is so quiet except for this soothing sound. Life is good at Maybelle Farm. I want to wish Merry Christmas and a Happy Healthy New Year to everyone from our farm.
Blog from Friday Dec. 12, 2014. It certainly is much nicer, weather wise today than this whole week. We really got hit with quite the storm. It started out with snow ,then sleet, freezing rain and what a mess. The power went off Tuesday evening but we were some of the lucky ones in the state of Vermont. It was back on in less than 2 hrs. I have to give a lot of thanks to the repair people that are working so hard to get power back to everyone in the state. I went to Londonderry to my grandchildren's Christmas Concert rehearsal yesterday and I have to say they really got hit a lot harder than we did.
