Hello from Maybelle Farm. Yesterday afternoon the UPS truck pulled into the yard at the farmhouse, and there it was, a great BIG box! I knew it was the socks I had been waiting for. Last Friday Zeilingers Wool Company in Michigan called to tell me that my socks were ready to be shipped! YIPPEE!!! Now they are and I had to dance around the yard because I was so excited. We opened the box and "OH MY GOODNESS" just look at these socks! The temperature is in the high 80's but who cares......the socks have arrived. Olivia and I made labels last Saturday and we are ready to sell these socks. We have size 9-11 or 10-13 and they are crew socks.
The Fiber Camp is really going great this year and the two classes are making an amazing wool mural. It will be finished by the August group of students at the second Fiber Camp. I have 300 bales of hay in the barn, the sheep are all doing O.K. and I'm going to Gardner, MA. on Saturday to pick up my little Catherine and bring her to her summer home on Toby Hill. I will be working many hours and having so much fun. Raspberries, blueberries,etc.. are all ripe now so its jam/jelly time. I have ripe tomatoes in my garden along with cucumbers, lettuce, summer squash, zucchini and life is good.
