At the beginning of the month we were able to send two white Border-Leicester ewes to Sunny Acres Farm in Hartland,VT. It was so nice to know they are going to such a beautiful farm and will be well taken care of. I have several more sheep to put up for sale and hope to downsize to at least 30-35. I have several of my old geriatric ewes that I cannot let go into the winter and it makes me so sad.
My grandson Austin went back to Leland and Gray High School and is a freshman this year, my granddaughter Ella is in 4th grade at Wardsboro School, my granddaughter Rowan is in 7th grade at Flood Brook School in Londonderry and her brother Declan is in 4th grade at Flood Brook. Darcy is back to school working in the Library at Flood Brook. It always is quite a change to have everyone back in school and I have to kick it up to take care of things at the farm. I am still working nights in home care and two days at the "Ugly Duckling Yarn Shop".
We will get a list of sheep for sale on our web-site and try to get them listed on the Vermont Sheep and Goat site and Agriview. Happy Fall to everyone.
