Poor Darcy,Todd and Rowan were exhausted from the shearing day as there is so much to do. I took macaroni & cheese, baked chicken and the birthday cake to their house for dinner. We had a little party for Declan and then everyone was more than ready to go to bed. I have had a terrible cold andcough for quite a few days so I was not part of shearing day. Declan spent the day with me and did get to go to the barn for a little bit to see the shearing. This morning everyone got a little cracked corn mixed in the grain because several were shivering.........its suppose to go up to at least 45 degrees today. That should help and this whole week ahead is suppose to be in the 50"s.
Rowan is spending the day with us and Darcy is taking Declan and a few of his friends to the movies for his birthday. I am just going to be a couch potato today and try to get over this cold/cough. It looks like Snowflake and Star will definitely have lambs but Opal is questionable and Omega I would say is not bred. Now we start with lamb watch. I believe that Snowflake should lamb about April 15th-20th and Star around the 25th-30th. They probably will surprise me!
Well, so long from Maybelle MaMa and stay tuned for lambing news!
