It's Monday night Nov. 15th and I'm going to put on a picture of Thistle. He is our very handsome Shetland ram coming from Kindred Spirit Farm in Sandwich, New Hampshire. I think he is the most beautiful color Shetland and the markings on his face are just so striking! I hope he throws at least 1-2 lambs with his coloring. I am especially drawn to the moorit coloring and just got back some roving from my beautiful Maura.
Patty Blomgren did a beautiful job processing roving for me from Maura, Stella, Arnold, Okra and Juliette. I am beyond thrilled with the way the roving came out. Patty delivered it so I could take it to "The Gathering at Mt. Snow on Nov. 5th,6th and 7th. I was exhausted from the event at Mt. Snow but it was nice to meet a lot of fiber people and to have it be only 7 miles from my home.
Jonathan and I have been frantically cleaning because his sister and her husband are coming to visit tomorrow.......WOW! That means really getting rid of a lot of clutter and cobwebs!!!! Its good to have company coming because it makes you do things that just get left sitting until your forced to clean up!
I'm attaching Thistle's picture to share just how beautiful he is. Jonathan is going with me next Sunday, November 28, to pick him up and bring him back to the farm.
So, I will say goodnight from Maybelle MaMa.
P.S. Oh yes, Thistle is the ram on the left (chocolate milk colored fleece and dark chocolate face with whipped cream on his chin and beside his eyes!)
