Jonathan and I made the trip to Sandwich, New Hampshire to Kindred Spirit Farm and brought Thistle (the very handsome ram) back to visit four lovely ewes. It was quite the trip back in pouring rain, hard wind and after dark! We left here at 8:45 a.m. and went to Brattleboro so Jonathan could have a man adjust his knee brace and show him how to put it on properly. We then went to Keene, to Concord and over to Sandwich. We got to Ken and Donna's farm about 1 p.m. and had a cup of tea and a too short visit but needed to head for home. I got to see little Percy and took some pictures for Rowan and Declan to see Percy's buddy Barley. We stopped on the way back in Claremont and got some groceries at the Market Basket and just to take a break from the rainy driving.
It was about 6:45 p.m. when we got to the farm, and Darcy and Todd came out and unloaded Thistle. He never made a peep on the trip home and really didn't want to get out of the dog crate but once he spotted the girls............ Arly was very happy to see him and they stayed in one of the houses for the night. By this morning Thistle had moved on to Tasha and they are very taken with each other. I think Tasha is singing the new country song "Stuck like Glue" as she has been with Thistle and they are off by themselves in the honeymoon suite tonight!
Jonathan had to work today and Declan spent the day with me. I had to go to Townshend to the pharmacy to pick up Jonathan's medicine and also to the feed store for grain and cracked corn. Declan stayed with my sister Bev and played with his cousin Ella while I was gone. We had lunch with Bev, Ella and Carleen then Declan came to my house and had a 2 hour nap. Chores are done, dinner is over and I had a nice visit at Bev's tonight and we had a hot chocolate party. I'm going to finish this blog and go to bed. I will attach a couple of pictures of Thistle and his four lovely ewes.
Goodnight from Maybelle MaMa
